South Petherton Community Shed Project
Improving Lives
Who We Are and What We Do
A "Community Shed" is a place to come along and take part in woodwork and other craft-based activities alongside other like-minded people. The "Shed" environment provides a safe venue to relax, enjoy and participate.
The Community Shed Project supports people of all ages above 18 years old and accepts most abilities who may otherwise not get the opportunity to achieve new interests whilst socialising, learning new skills, or expanding on existing skills.
Some people can find life tricky due to retirement, loss of a partner, feeling isolated, being off work due to illness or generally suffering from health problems. The Community Shed Project already runs a successful "Community Shed", on a weekly subsidised, pay as you go session fee basis.
We still search for donations and support to operate The Community Shed Project.
For more information please contact Helen on 01460 240943 or visit us, we meet at the North and South Chapels, South Petherton Cemetery, Hayes End, TA13 5EQ, Thursdays 2-4.30pm. Come and see what we do, have a look at our items for sale and join us for a cuppa and a chat.
